Fibroken is a graphic narrative about my experience with fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia is a medical condition defined by the presence of chronic widespread pain, fatigue, waking unrefreshed, cognitive symptoms, lower abdominal pain or cramps, and depression.
In this project, I have tried to narrate the story of how I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and what my journey has been like.
I have combined mediums like gouache, embroidery and ink to bring out the layers of emotions in each frame.
